going back to jerry, I did see a a dead show in 95 where he was cracking jokes from the stage, 5-20 I believe, something about passing bodies up front to put them into a pile...

Too funny. That's why his shows are so long. I totally get it. How many times can you hear stories about him and "The Big" man forming a band down the Jersey shore?

That whole Dead for Obama thing probably would have bothered me more if it had happened when they were still the Grateful Dead and I was still going to shows. I could give two shits about what the surviving members think about anything or post-Jerry Dead in general. But that's just me. If that's their deal now, good for them.

I was glad to see that the survivors are still human and not lying cheating Republican zombies -- those crooks could care less about truth or trying to fix things or hold the Democrats feet to the fire without lying through their teeth.

What a pile of horse shit !

It bothered me. If anyone can remember "a vote for Barry is a vote for fun" you just might get it.

No friggin' joke! Back in his live glory days of '74-'78 a lot of Springsteen's little stories were funny and fit in with the flow of show pretty well, but nowadays "socially aware Bruce" seems like he's got a fucking opinion on everything from Obama to safety regulations on toilet paper, and he's going to share each and every one of them with you at length. I don’t think anyone minds a few jokes or thoughtful observations here and there but after a while you’re right: it’s time to shut the fuck up and give everyone what they paid you for. If you want to give speeches, stand outside the arena and do it for free.

I’m guessing that unlike Springsteen, Jerry wasn’t interested in seeing people hang on his every word. He let his gee-tar do the talkin’.

WTF ? That's the issue with you boneheads. You're living in the past with no future, except you all will be here tomorrow wasting your companies money, not suppling growth to a 45 year old community, and like most troll are a quarter flash and three quarters foolish.

Musicians that converse with the crowds are normally experiencing technical difficulties and supply lame-ass entertainment that allows you to believe you're special and you're really getting an added value to the price of admission.

Kind of presumptuous of you, Phurthur, to presume that any of this bunch is actually employed.
